The Graduate Student Society (GSS) and Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (G+PS) are hosting a BBQ welcome lunch!
Pre-order a BBQ burger (beef or veggie) or hot dog, drink and chips for just $6.50 (includes tax & processing fees).
There are two ways to pre-order:
- Eventbrite (credit card only)
- in person (cash only) at the GSS Front Desk, Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm.
Deadline to pre-order: August 27.
When you register, you’ll be asked to choose a timeslot to pick up your burger or hot dog combo (11:30am – 12:00pm*, 12:00pm – 12:30pm, 12:30pm – 1:00pm, and 1:00pm – 1:30pm**)
On the day of, pick up your lunch on the Graduate Student Society (GSS) courtyard (between 11:30am – 1:30pm) and meet us on the grass meridian for the Campus Resources and Student Activity Fair. Meet and mingle with other new grad students while browsing approximately 50 campus resource units and student activity and interest groups.
Alternatives to the BBQ:
Bring your own lunch from home or one of our campus eateries.
*Note for International students
The 11:30am – 12:00pm time slot is not recommended for students attending the International Student Welcome as this session is scheduled to end at 12pm and you will miss your pick-up window.
**Note about timing
Both the BBQ and the Fair end at 1:30pm, and the GradStart Welcome in the Chan Centre starts promptly at 1:45pm. If you’ve pre-ordered for the 1:00pm – 1:30pm timeslot, you may wish to visit the Fair beforehand.
