This info session covers a suite of topics including the following:
- Student financing, including budgeting resources, needs-based funding, and tuition assessment presented by Enrolment Services (20 minutes)
- Life in Vancouver, including neighbourhoods, getting around, places to shop, and things to do presented by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and current UBC graduate students (30-40 minutes)
- Immigration (passports, study permits, visas / eTAs), working on and off campus as an international student, health insurance (iMED, AMS/GSS, MSP), and a brief look at banking and cell phone options in Canada presented by UBC’s International Student Development (60-70 minutes)
