St. John’s College Info Session

St. John’s College (SJC) is a residential college committed to enhancing the intellectual and cultural life of graduate students at UBC. SJC offers residential membership to graduate students who share an interest in international issues and are committed to a better understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity.

Residents studying a wide range of subjects come from over 45 countries to form the SJC Community. Our motto, The World Around Our Table, centers around the importance of dining together to bridge gaps and find commonalities amidst diversity. Our warm and welcoming residents are dedicated to building a strong sense of community at the College, and new residents are encouraged to get involved in various SJC Committees such as academic, resident life, sports, wellness, social committee and so forth.  Involvement takes the form of participation in resident committees, and attendance at functions and lectures sponsored by or linked with the College.
