GSS Orientation 2019- Hike to Lighthouse Park

Lighthouse Park is a beautiful strand of old-growth forest nestled into West Vancouver at the entrance of the Burrard Inlet. Many trails throughout the park provide the perfect family outing on a sunny or a rainy day. There are several rocky outcrops on the ocean shore. Each one provides fantastic views of the Salish Sea, downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. The forest is dense and rich with life and is a great spot for a quick getaway from the bustle of the city.

THIS IS AN EASY HIKE WITH MINIMAL ELEVATION! With over minimal gain in elevation gain and 3.3 kms roundtrip this hike in considered a short hike. Shoes/boots with good support are recommended. We also suggest bringing enough water and snacks or a lunch! No sandals/Converse! We recommend fitness clothing (stretchy or quick dry hiking clothes) and would advise against jeans. This hike will take approximately 2 hours round trip which includes breaks and selfie stops. We recommend bringing a lunch for a picnic in one of the stops.

We will also be giving each attendee a small breakfast once we get to the hike!
