The Ins and Outs of Academic and Scholarly Integrity at UBC

Promoting a culture that fosters working with both Academic  and Scholarly Integrity are key priorities at UBC. But what does it mean to study and research with integrity? How can graduate students contribute to an environment where everyone works with honesty, care, and respect? In this interactive session, you will learn more about academic and scholarly integrity as it relates to your scholarly work and be introduced to, or reminded of, related UBC policies and standards.

We’ll review UBC-specific resources available to help you learn more about academic integrity as it applies to your coursework or your work as a TA. We’ll also introduce topics related to conducting your research ethically and responsibly, such as authorship guidelines, data management, writing with integrity, and more.

By the end of this session, you will:

• have an understanding of academic and scholarly integrity at UBC,
• be able to reflect on the principles that apply to your scholarly work, and
• know where to go if you have questions or want to learn more.
