We are excited to welcome new graduate students to our campus.
Orientation takes place twice a per year in January and August/September. The largest orientation event happens every year just prior to the Labour Day weekend and is a week full of activities and events welcoming you to UBC and Vancouver.
Orientation is a wonderful chance to meet your peers and to get important information to start your graduate student life. Please take a look at the schedules for the upcoming orientation events.
Graduate Studies Welcome Event – September 1
There will be live welcome addresses, an overview of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, and an introduction to campus as well as resources and support for thriving in grad school at UBC.
- International graduate students (12:30-2pm)
- Welcome for all students (2:30-4:15pm)
The Social – September 1
‘The Social’ is the perfect opportunity for incoming graduate students to meet, interact with and make new friends! Use this outdoor fair to network, enjoy live musicians performing and indulge in some snacks and outdoor activities.
